Cabezas de Piedras: Rostros de las Culturas y Reflejos del Cosmos

Todo se refleja en todo. Las ideas y las formas se contienen unas a otras, el micro cosmos es un reflejo del macro cosmos. Estos conceptos proyectados de un aforismo de la filosofía hermética –como es arriba, es abajo—son retomados por el escultor David Pulgar en la muestra “Cabezas de Piedra: Rostros de las Culturas y Reflejos del Cosmos” que presentará en Galería Matthei.

Estas antiguas significaciones, guiadas por la intuición y presentes en las distintas expresiones y mitos de culturas ancestrales, demuestran un conocimiento profundo: el ser humano como reflejo de la totalidad, del cosmos.

Para David Pulgar, la cabeza como parte del hombre, “retiene información aún no develada de las proporciones, relaciones y armonías de todo lo existente”. El artista trabaja este modelo en variadas dimensiones, talladas en piedra y algunas, además, con el rostro en bronce. Estos últimos trabajos hacen eco de ese saber ancestral y primigenio.
