Muestra fotográfica en el Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda registra festividades tradicionales a lo largo de Chile


· La exposición Chile en Fiesta, con fotografías de Catalina Ruitort y Alejandra Undurraga, se inaugura el sábado 6 de septiembre en la Galería de la Fotografía, ubicada en el nivel -3 del Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda.

· La muestra permanecerá abierta hasta el 12 de octubre

Cerca de 40 fotografías a color, de gran y mediano formato, además de una proyección continua, conforman la exposición Chile en Fiesta, que reúne imágenes de diversas festividades tradicionales, populares y religiosas, captadas entre el año 2006 y 2007 por la licenciada en arte Catalina Ruitort y la historiadora Alejandra Undurraga, en distintas localidades del país, desde Arica hasta Magallanes.

El proyecto, realizado con el auspicio de Iansa, fue plasmado en 2007 en una edición de lujo de gran formato, con textos de la periodista Catalina Darraidau, autora del libro , quien realizó una exhaustiva investigación en terreno acerca de este atractivo y valioso patrimonio intangible, que da cuenta del sincretismo producido entre la cosmovisión indígena originaria y la cultura hispana a partir del siglo XVI. El volumen incluye testimonios de los habitantes de las comunidades, así como descripción de las distintas celebraciones.
